Toilet Cisterns & Buttons
Whether you are working on a new build or renovation, choosing the right type of toilet and function can be difficult. There are two types of cisterns available:
Cisterns: The water tank is located at the top of the toilet that holds water used for the flush. Toilet Cisterns have a few simple parts that work together to control the flow of water in and out of the toilet. All cisterns have a flush button located on top.
Concealed Cisterns: The cistern is installed in the wall or behind a cabinet/ cavity with only the buttons and pan visible. These can come in either back to wall or wall hung varieties.
Flush Buttons release the water from the cistern into the toilet bowl. They come in a range of styles, designs, and finishes. Most Toilets are dual flush for water conservation, this allows you to control how much water you utilise when flushing. The larger button is for larger or solid waste and will flush 6-9 litres of water, whereas the smaller button is for liquid waste and will flush 3- 4.5 litres of water.
